The Institute for Safe Medication Practices presented the 2016 Cheers Award to our organization for exemplary commitment to the science and study of medication safety. To qualify for this prestigious award, the ISMP looks for positive examples of innovative and creative projects, programs, educational efforts, standard-setting, and research.
NCIRD Honor Award for Excellence in Partnering 2011
Our organization was awarded the NCIRD 2011 Honor Award for Excellence in Partnering for taking the reins to develop, house, distribute, and maintain translations of VISs.
Partners in Public Health Award from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 1997
We received the CDC award “to recognize this coalition of health care professionals and concerned citizens whose efforts were instrumental in achieving high levels of routine infant hepatitis B immunization.”

WHO Vaccine Safety Net
The Vaccine Safety Net is a global network of websites established by the World Health Organization that provides reliable information on vaccine safety. WHO’s Global Advisory Committee on Vaccine Safety looks at three categories of criteria for good information practices that digital resources providing information on vaccine safety should adhere to—credibility, content (quality and quantity), and accessibility & design. The VSN network currently* includes 104 member websites representing 44 countries and 36 languages.
